News Round...

Some photos of the School Choir that did so well at the Feis Ceoil last week.  Well done girls and great work taking home the Cup in your first year!

Our Basketball teams have also won their matches and are not thru to the FINAL'S of both the Senior and Junior Basketball Competition. - Keep on your winning streak girls.

We gave Kay, our long serving and dedicated Lollypop Lady a small gift for her fabulous service over the really horrible weather we had this winter.  Many thanks Kay for your help and kind words to the girls everyday!

Finally - Sunday 17th April from 3 to 6pm we are running an Easter Fair at the school, there will be lots of stalls selling crafts, clothing, jewellery, plants and sweets.  We plan to have activies for the kids like a large bouncy slide and football - we hope to see you on the day and would love if you could help us out on the day or even send in some bottles for the stall or cakes for the cake stall....  All your help is much appreciate and well received!

We won!

A massive Congratulations to the girls from 4th, 5th and 6th classes in Ms Wickham's Choir who took part in their first ever Feis Ceoil on Tuesday 5th April.  The choir participated in 2 competitions, the Sacred Music for Children's Choir and the Primary Schools Choir - two part.  They won 1st prize and were awarded the cup in the Sacred Music competition and received high commendation in the Primary Schools choir competition.    As a result of their competition win, they were invited to sing in the Choir of the Year award which took place on Tuesday evening in the RDS.  They were up against not only other primary schools but post-primary too.   The standard was extremely high and it was a brilliant experience for the girls to represent their school at such a prestigious competition.  Let's hope that it is the start of a tradition for many years to come!  A special word of Congratulations to their conductor, Ms Laura Wickham who has done tremendous work with the girls over the past 2 years bringing them to this standard.
